Alistair Macdonald

 Mr. Macdonald has 18 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry and has held senior management positions in manufacturing, consultancy, business and corporate development, data management, and clinical operations. With INC Research he has been responsible for leading the data management, data services and ultimately global services teams, driving the implementation of new technologies and processes and the expansion of those service provisions to a global scale. In addition, Mr Macdonald led the INC Business Development team and created the Alliance Development & Management functions to establish strategic partnerships to improve the speed, efficiency, and quality of drug development. Now as the leader of the Oncology Business function Mr. Macdonald is working with new and existing customers to deliver world class projects using innovative service models that create increased value through INC Research’s Oncology expertise and Trusted Process methodology.
Nicholas Kenny, PhD
Executive Vice President, Oncology
Dr. Kenny has 25 years of research and development experience. Dr. Kenny’s industry career began as a Clinical Research Fellow. He moved into management roles within the CRO industry, where he was responsible for establishing the strategic direction of clinical programs, as well as having global oversight of project management, clinical monitoring, and regulatory staff. He has provided clinical development and regulatory strategy consulting services, international project management, and process development and integration expertise to a variety of pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Over the past 10 years Dr. Kenny’s drug development expertise has been primarily focused upon oncology clinical development.
Prior to his move to industry, Dr. Kenny spent 15 years in endocrinology and cell biology research and teaching in the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States (US) where he was Assistant Professor in the College of Medicine at the University of Vermont. He was also a National Institute of Health Research Fellow at McGill University and received his PhD in Reproductive Endocrinology from the University of Hull, United Kingdom.
Chris Smyth, PhD, MBA
Senior Vice President, Oncology
Dr. Smyth has over 20 years of research and development experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He began his career working in clinical operations roles of increasing responsibility for CROs. Prior to joining INC he spent 8 years at a biopharmaceutical company specializing in the development of small molecules, biologicals and DNA aptamers for the treatment of cancer. He has held senior management positions within CRO and biopharmaceutical companies in both Europe and USA and has been solely focused on hematology and oncology drug development since 2003. Dr Smyth’s extensive experience and expertise in oncology drug development has successfully ensured the timely and efficient delivery of numerous clinical trials, often ahead of schedule. He received his PhD in Reproductive Endocrinology from the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom and his MBA from Henley Management College, United Kingdom.
