To provide substantial evidence to establish the efficacy of a treatment for pain, the FDA and European agencies encourage evaluation of a test drug in multiple models and pain populations.

INC Research has conducted a broad range of successful pain-focused clinical trials using different pain models at all stages of analgesic development - from proof-of-concept through Phase IV. Our key areas of clinical expertise in pain include chronic neuropathic pain including postherpetic neuralgia and painful diabetic neuropathy; chronic lower back pain; cancer pain; osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis; acute post-surgical pain, sprains and strains, and acute low back pain; and migraine.
