INC Research Receives Society for Clinical Data Management 2011 Data Driven Innovation Award 

Award Recognizes Innovative Data Solution for Multinational, Multisite Studies

Raleigh, NC, Sept. 22, 2022 – INC Research, LLC, a therapeutically focused clinical research organization (CRO) with a Trusted Process® for delivering reliable results, today announced it is the recipient of the 2011 Data Driven Innovation Award from the Society for Clinical Data Management (SCDM). This annual award recognizes the top achievement in the clinical data management field. INC Research was announced as the recipient at the recent SCDM Annual Conference, selected from among five finalists following an extensive review of nominations, in-depth interviews and a presentation to an expert judging panel.

INC Research’s Clinical Data Technology team was recognized for its efforts in developing an electronic data capture (EDC) solution for two particularly complex studies in which patients traveled among multiple countries, requiring the transfer of more than 200,000 data points daily for 380 users and 2,700 patients visiting 25 sites around the world. Challenges included managing the transfer of patient data, controlling user access to patient data based on user location and the need to transfer data in real time among sites across 12 time zones. The INC Research team designed a custom interface between its proprietary interactive voice/web response system and the EDC system to facilitate the viewing and updating of data based on user location and to permit the sharing of patient casebooks in real time among multiple sites. Both studies for which the solution was designed locked on time.
